Abiola Ajayi is Plant Scientist with specialisation in Plant Genetics/Molecular Biology and Breeding. He is interested in mutation breeding of cowpea and soybeans for drought and aluminum toxicity tolerance.

He is involved in breeding of wheat for improved drought tolerance, yield, and variations in the seed coat color of cowpea through hybridization techniques, and also into mutation breeding and production of hybrid tomato for improved fruit quality and yield.

He took part in production of quality yam tubers via vine cutting techniques. He has authored about 30 papers in which more than 27 can be downloaded online in various international journals. Read his posts here (1, 2, 3).
