Executive Summary
Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) was established in January 2016 at the 26th Ordinary Assembly of Heads of State and Government as a specialized technical institution of the African Union. It was officially launched in January 2017. Following its launch, Africa CDC developed its inaugural five-year Strategic Plan (2017-2021).
